Join PSAC for a presentation and discussion with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service on oil and gas opportunities in Colombia.  Learn about key players in the market, expected levels of production activity, upcoming market opportunities, procurement needs from Colombian oil and gas operators, and things to consider when entering the market.  Juan David Gomez – Trade Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Colombia, and Carmen Sparrow – Trade Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Alberta, will present from Bogota and Calgary respectively.  (Webinar registration/login details to follow.)


Speaker Bios:
Juan David Gomez
Juan David Gomez is the Trade Commissioner for oil and gas in Colombia.  He provides strategic support and advisory to Canadian business’s efforts in Colombia by identifying key business and investment opportunities, providing market intelligence, and addressing market access challenges with the national government.  He facilitates discussions around regulatory issues relevant to the O&G and Mining sectors, and promoting best Corporate Social Responsibility practices, according to the standards set by the Canadian Government.

Carmen Sparrow
Carmen Sparrow joined Global Affairs Canada in February 2018. She works in the Regional Office for Alberta and Northwest Territories (ROANT) located in Calgary, and is a Trade Commissioner focused on the Oil and Gas Sector. Prior to this, Carmen held senior management positions in the international and community economic development sectors and worked in the private sector in telecom/ICT and management consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Master’s of Business Administration from McGill University.
