Elizabeth Aquin, Interim President & CEO,
Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC)

Elizabeth promotes and serves the interests of members through execution of the Association’s Strategic Plan, federal and provincial government advocacy and public relations.  She works with members on strategic, business, and technical issues facing the industry to enable the continued innovation, technological advancement and in-the-field experience they supply, helping to increase efficiency, ensure safety, and protect the environment.

Ben Brunnen, Vice President, Oilsands,
Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)

Ben is responsible for a wide range of technical, regulatory and social policy issues facing Canada’s oil sands industry, where he advocates for a competitive, safe, and environmentally and socially responsible energy industry.

John Gibson, Equity Research Analyst,
BMO Capital Markets

John is an Equity Research Analyst at BMO Capital Markets, covering the Canadian Oilfield Service sector. He holds nearly eight years of experience in equity research, all focused on oilfield services. John holds a degree in Economics from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and is a CFA Charterholder.

Rowena Gunn, Upstream Analyst,
Wood Mackenzie

Rowena joined Wood Mackenzie in March 2019 as an Analyst for the Canada Upstream Research team. Rowena is focused on developing financial asset valuations and commercial analysis on company and play activity across Western Canada. Some of the main operators she covers are ConocoPhillips, Shell and Ovintiv. She is also the lead analyst for the Alaska region providing regional expertise and insight.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Rowena worked as a Geologist at CNRL and IHS Markit. As well as extensive experience in development and operations geology, Rowena has also worked on reservoir engineering, company strategy and A&D activities. Rowena has technical and financial experience spanning offshore and onshore activities across North America, West Africa and Northwest Europe.

Rowena holds an M.Sc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London and a First Class BSc in Geology from the University of Glasgow.

Bemal Mehta, Senior Vice President, Energy Intelligence,
JWN Energy

Bemal is the senior vice-president, energy intelligence, of JWN Energy and the broader energy and mining business groups.

He leads the efforts of the various businesses in the analytics, business intelligence, product development, and operational and strategic insight. He has over 20 years of experience across multiple industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, consulting and telecommunications.

He brings a breadth of experience in the areas of business strategy, analytics, operational excellence, supply chain management, marketing and sales effectiveness. Bemal is a professional engineer with a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in chemical engineering from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Queen’s University.
