Registration and Pricing

Registration fees cover the entire workshop and include a Soup & Sandwich lunch; partial registration is not permitted. Registration closes on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 4:30 pm. Registration options are as follows:

PSAC Members: $  75.00 + GST
Non-Members: $130.00 + GST

A 10% discount is offered to PSAC member companies who register 3 or more employees. The discount will be applied to the 3rd and subsequent registration. It is the obligation of the registrant to determine whether he/she qualifies for this discount. Refunds will not be made. A block of rooms has been set aside with a room rate of $110.00 + taxes. Hours of Service

Alberta Transportation will be providing an update on the Hours of Service file and information gathered from the stakeholder consultations held to gather feedback from the carrier community on issues dealing with: Alberta’s two-tier HoS system;  implementation of NSC Standards; and vehicle weights and dimensions.

Electronic Logging Devices

ELD requirements for federally-regulated carriers are set to come into effect on June 3, 2020, with a one-year grace period to allow companies to bring their operations into compliance, before full enforcement on June 3, 2021. This presentation by Alberta Transportation will focus on how Alberta will be enforcing the federal ELD Standard, and information specific to oil and gas service sector operations

Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Presentation from the Alberta TDG Branch on changes to the federal TDG Act and Regulations; federal Equivalency Certificates; and the CGSB Standard on TDG Training

Presentation from DLA Piper, PSAC legal counsel, on issues and trends related to the harassment and violence provisions in Alberta’s OHS Act.
