The Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC), through its Education Fund program, is providing scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary education for those students connected to PSAC Core Member companies as well as students at technical colleges enrolled in petroleum-related or trades programs, especially those who would potentially be interested in a career in the petroleum services sector.
The PSAC Education Fund directs resources to Canadian students to create awareness of and help develop a potential long-term labour pool for the upstream service, supply and manufacturing sector of the oil and gas industry.
Currently, the fund awards ten PSAC Core Membership Scholarships of $1,500 to PSAC Core Member company employees or their children, and one PSAC Roger Soucy Legacy Scholarship Funded by KPMG, worth $2,500, to a child of a PSAC Core Member company employee who is heavily involved in the community and pursuing an education in a petroleum or trades related program.

Since its inception, the Fund has awarded over $370,000 in scholarships and grants to deserving recipients.

The goal of the PSAC Core Member Scholarships is to provide financial assistance to PSAC Core Member company employees or their children to facilitate the continuation of their education. In 2017, ten $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to PSAC Core Member company employees and their children.
Applications will be accepted for full or part-time studies in the following categories:
• Business or IT
• Engineering, Earth Sciences or Trades
• General Studies or Other
The goal of the PSAC Roger Soucy Legacy Scholarship Funded by KPMG is to provide financial assistance to a child of a PSAC Core Member company employee who is heavily involved in the community and pursuing an education in a petroleum or trades related program. Annually, one $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a child of a PSAC Core Member company employee.
Applications will be accepted from students who demonstrate a commitment to the community through volunteer, extra-curricular or other activities and are registered in one the following program categories:
• Business program;
• Engineering program;
• Health & safety program; or
• Trades/Apprenticeship program.
